Unless they beat themselves?

from The National Anthem Before A Cubs Game

"Section 8: #2 Pelican Rapids vs. #1 Hawley (Thursday, at Fargodome)Here's how good Hawley's defense is: they gave up only 41 points this year. In the entire season. No team has scored more than 12 in a game, and four failed to score at all. And the Nuggets offense hasn't exactly been quiet; the team is averaging 47 points per game. Of its ten wins, eight - EIGHT! - were by more than forty points. Pelican Rapids isn't bad, at 7-3, but unless Hawley beats themselves by turning the ball over, I think the Nuggets head easily into state and probably beyond."

You have to have faith!

My High School is playing Cretin-Derham Hall on Friday. I understand the incredibile hill.

But, one thing to keep in mind is that these are all 15-18 year old kids. If Pelicna Rpaids goes out and plays mistake free, penalty free football, focusing on assignments and making one play at a time, the game could be close in the 4th. Teams who haven't faced adversity all year might struggle and the local 11 might get the win!

GO, VIKINGS!!! Last year's football team graduated many seniors which made people think that this year's team wouldn't do very well. Well, look at them!!! They are going for the Section Playoff Championship game!!!!! Let's all go up to the Fargodome and cheer on the Pelican Rapids Vikings!!!! (Yes, it will be late, but maybe you can sleep in over the weekend.) I will agree that the Hawley team is good, but they have the pressure to win. We have the challenge of making that win difficult. GO VIKINGS!!!

How about if the businesses show their support and decorate windows and such with words of encouragement. Also, Kristin Westby is going to the State Cross Country Meet on November 3. Let's not forget to cheer her on. Go, Kristin!!!
