One hundred twelve years Birdella's house stood on a hill in Norwegian Grove Township. Today it was moved down the hill to the lake. Built to last in 1895, it was one of the first stick built houses in Norwegian Grove Township and is still providing shelter in 2007.

It's good to see that Grandma's house (as she was to soooo many) will be preserved. It will be strange to drive up 21 and not see the big white house on the hill but I am glad to see that the Hovland family will be able to enjoy it for another 112 years.
