The PRHS Valkyrie Dance Team is headed to STATE!!! On Saturday, the Valkyries placed 3rd in the jazz category at the Section held at Hawley High School. Pequot Lakes placed 1st, and Frazee placed 2nd, so they will also be advancing to State. Come cheer us on at the Xcel Center on Friday, February 15th! Preliminary competition starts at 11:50 with the Valkyries dancing at 12:40. Finalists will be announced at 1:45 and Final competition will start at 5:45 with awards for the day at approximately 6:30.
It’s SO exciting to be acknowledged as one of the top 12 Class A teams in the state of Minnesota. I’m very proud of this team for working hard toward their goals! We will have a reserved area for 70 fans. If you’d like to be in our section, please stop by the high school, and sign up on the sheet in the office. Reserved tickets are $12 (adults and students). Checks should be written to PRHS, who will turn around and write 1 check for the complete amount to MSHSL. The deadline to reserve our tickets is this coming Wednesday morning (Feb 6) at 9am, SO if you are planning to purchase some, you should be signed up and paid in full by Wednesday at 8:30 am.
