From the time it started I have always been in awe of Jeff Bezos and his company amazon.com. In the begining Jeff even sent us an email at Christmas. I think I even remember a free gift. Who could possibly compete against such a place, which in my eyes did simply everything right (including letting you sell the stuff you had bought there when no longer wanted)....until this week when I received two seperate emails from them about the two Christmas gifts I had ordered online last week....having been duly assured the gifts well ahead of the December 24th deadline. One gift they were simply not able to get from any of their vendors and the other would be delayed until mid-January. "We realize this might make you angry," they wrote. Did I list my temper in my customer profile? My son tells me that buy.com is the place to shop. As loyal as my father was to Sears Roebuck and Company (he despised KMart), I have been to amazon.com. These days even the latest technology cannot meet the demands of the online masses. Merry Christmas Jeff. With over half a million people in your store during the last hour, I should be glad that your computers even found time to email me with news I wouldn't be shopping in your store this Christmas. Notice no link to you in this paragraph?. I don't like crowds either. Do you suppose Bezos has his computers trolling the blogalaxy for negative publicity? Shields down Mr.Spock.
