Eostre

I continue to find it odd that only Germanic and English speakers use the word Easter for this day. All other languages use a form of the word Passover which makes little sense to me..

easter and passover are celebrations of 2 different events:

easter is a christian celebration converning the death and reseraction of jesus christ, and the forgivness of sins that accomponies it.

passover is a jewish feast celabrating there release from slavery in egyipt. when the angel of the lord went around killing the first born, it 'passed over' the jews, and didn't affect them

so: if you're a christian, you should celabrate easter, because a jewish feast has no meaning unless you are actualy a jew.

if you are a jew, then celebrating easter is a meaningless event because jesus was not a special person, so passover should be celebrated.

any other questions, on any topic, ask at my blog, andytroo@blogspot.com, or even jsut leave a message saying 'hi'
