101 things to do in Pelican Rapids

Gerry Haukebo came back from Texas this spring with the idea of compiling one hundred and one things a person could do when they came to Pelican Rapids. He got to about fifty. I filled in the last fifty. Both of us forgot number 101 which is numero uno on most people's list.

We published it to the Pelican Rapids Chamber of Commerce website (see Chamber Jane's in the right column) this morning so it's out there for you to help us improve. The list is the latest in a long line of Gerry's ideas such as marrying Doris Mae, the Concordia College Language Villages, Global Language Villages and Visitours, his self guided car tours around Pelican Rapids, an idea he bought back from recent trip to Iceland.

Send us your ideas for the list. Click on comments just below.

Garden Pleasures

Mary and Dean Nelson have expanded their Garden Pleasures Greenhouse just down the road at 19319 380th Street. My wife knows flowers and she was impressed with their inventory. I was too.
