I was going to write this glowing review of the movie Crash, which I saw and very much enjoyed Sunday night, until I read this review in the Los Angeles Times. Had I read the review first, I would not have seen the movie. Crash is supposedly about life as an Angelino anno 2004, similar to the film Magnolia. The way the Angelino(a) critic rips into the movie and the Canadian, turned Angelino, who wrote it (and Million Dollar Baby) I guess I just don't get it....so I'll keep my mouth shut.
See Crash at your own risk. My wife (who feels Crash could have been filmed in 56572) and I had a $500 car crash (with a rogue truck tire) on the freeway on the way home from the cinema. If you go, let me know if you make it home safely and who you agree with.
I'd better stick to critiquing films about things I know a thing or two about, like Fargo.
