After thirty-three years,
if you're still searching for me:

Green roof
next to blue lake
east of river flowing north
dead center of continent
small blue planet
minor yellow star
on edge
of insignificant galaxy.
I'm still waiting
impatiently.

Email me when,

I need an hour notice.

Brugs
After stepping down from his position as PRHS Boys Golf Coach last year
PRHS Girls Basketball Coach Doug Bruggeman today announced
he was stepping down from that coaching job too after seven very successful years.
Brugs said his son Casey entering Junior High and
"my feeling that I could no longer provide the leadership that the girls deserved"
were what influenced his decision.
It's hard to understand what he means by that.
Is it too time consuming?
Burnout, brownout, flameout?
Did the parents and players finally get to him?
Was the pressure of coaching finally enough?
Was it affecting his teaching?
Is he pulling a "Rex?"

Two of his assistant coaches lost their teaching positions due to budget cuts.
My guess is Ryan Syverson will take Brugs' place and Brugs will slide on to the bench next to Brad.

It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood
A beautiful day for a neighbor
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?

It’s a neighborly day in this beautywood
A neighborly day for a beauty
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?

I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you
I’ve always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you

So let’s make the most of this beautiful day
Since we’re together, we might as well say
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won’t you be my neighbor?

Won’t you please
Won’t you please
Please won’t you be my neighbor?

(Fergus Falls Daily Journal)
A Fargo man who pleaded guilty to obstructing the legal process after he threatened officers with a chainsaw was sentenced last week to a year in jail. Danny Lee Hagen, 44, was stopped by officers on October 30th, 2004 after he allegedly told a person that he was going to "go after certain Bosnian members" in the Pelican Rapids community. When officers approached Hagen, he was told repeatedly to put down a chainsaw; however, Hagen started the chainsaw and faced the direction of the officers, according to court records. Hagen was tased and fled. He struggled with an officer after he was caught, was tased again and pepper sprayed. Hagen was originally charged with three counts of assault in the second degree, but those were amended as part of the plea deal. He was given 177 days credit for time already served.

A former Pelican Rapids man found guilty of shaking a roommate's baby and possibly giving the infant lifelong brain damage was sentenced Monday to 81 months in prison. The sentence also means that Horacio Martinez Zavala, 20, who was originally from Mexico and living in Pelican Rapids to work at the West Central Turkeys plant, will likely be deported at the end of his prison term and probation.
