And though he's not even quite sure he understands how it works, using information taken off the Internet, Robert Fitzgerald needed only a few days to convert a 20-year-old school bus running on diesel fuel into one that runs on grease.

A grease bus, he said, was the only way he could pay for the fuel as he drives across the state campaigning for U.S. Senator.
