Current Color: Overall leaf color is 20%. Maples are less than 15%. Green ash is 50%, as well as sumac. Grasses are at their peak (100%). Most yellow flowers are at 100% or past peak. Goldenrod is at 100%, and blue asters are at 100%.

Upcoming Events: Celebrate fall leaf color during Leaf Days at Maplewood State Park. The fall celebration will take place from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Sept. 24, 25 and Oct. 1, 2. Enjoy fall colors with a drive or hike through the park, bring a picnic lunch or purchase lunch from the Friends of Maplewood who will be selling Elmer's famous BAR-B-Q, brats and smoked turkey legs as well as sweets and beverages. Food will be available in the park's picnic area. All profits from the day will go towards a picnic shelter to be built in the park.
Park Notes: Water, showers and modern toilets will not be available after October 9. Water will be available at the park office.
Peak Color Projection: Expect peak color from September 28 through October 5.
