To maintain its effectiveness, Minnesota Public Radio has to change as much in the next five years as it has since its inception in 1967.
- Bill Kling, President of Minnesota Public Radio
In the words of Walt Whitman, "...the powerful play goes on and you will contribute a verse." We think a lot about that at Minnesota Public Radio and about our "verse" in strengthening communities.
As sound as our programming is, it needs to be even better if we are to continue to raise the quality of life for people in Minnesota and around the country.
We can only do this by providing our talented staff with updated studios, technical equipment and production facilities, by bringing them together in a single facility, and by enabling them to interact in new ways with knowledgeable members of our audience to facilitate the most valuable exchange of ideas.
The Next Standard will position us to achieve this. Now we look to you and your contribution.

MPR has added much to my quality of life here in Minnesota. I've sent a small contribution ($50) just to be part of the process. Do you listen to MPR too? Will 56572 show up?
