Linguistic sandbagging and dike raising

Behind these dikes Dutch is spoken.
On the other side of this dike nobody understands us. They make fun of our beloved language. When you choose to live here with us behind these dikes you will write and speak as we do.

No, today Ms Verdonk says that was not what she said. The Dutch are beginning to find the land they created "onheimisch." Look that word up in Het Groene Boekje.

Onheimisch could be The Word of the 21st Century. "Home" is not what it used to be....anywhere. Who can translate it to a word the rest of us can understand?
