Honoring the Fallen

SSG Hanson was assigned to the Minnesota Army National Guard’s Company A, 2nd Combined Arms Battalion, 136th Infantry, based in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

SSG Hanson was posthumously promoted to Staff Sergeant, awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat, and awarded the Bronze Star for his conspicuous actions in the line of duty.
