Lord, let it be Monday

56572 can justly be taken to task for poor sports coverage. There are other blogs for that with all the stats and armchair quarterbacking one needs. What did seem odd this morning is that both varsity basketball teams lost by twenty points last night. Look in the stats for the last time that happened. Hope it wasn't the tainted hamburger at school.

56572 can justly be taken to task for poor weather coverage. Here is the forecast for this glorious weekend. The Fishing Derby on North Lida is postponed until next Saturday:

Blizzard Watch
Expires 7:00 PM EST on February 09, 2008 -->
Statement as of 4:45 AM CST on February 08, 2008

... Blizzard watch remains in effect from late tonight through Saturday afternoon... A blizzard watch remains in effect from late tonight through Saturday afternoon. Ground blizzard conditions are possible by late tonight along a Roseau to Fosston to Fergus Falls line. Northwest wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph and whiteout conditions are possible... especially in open country. Only an inch or two of new snow is expected. The surge of cold air and strong winds will also result in wind chill readings of 25 below to 45 below zero by late tonight into the day Saturday. A blizzard watch means there is a potential for falling and/orblowing snow with strong winds and extremely poor visibilities.This can lead to whiteout conditions and make travel very dangerous.

Tonight

South winds around 10 mph increasing to southwest around 20 mph with gusts to around 35 mph after midnight. Lowest wind chill readings 16 below to 26 below zero after midnight.

Saturday
Partly sunny. A 20 percent chance of light snow in the morning. Blowing and drifting snow in the morning...then areas of blowing and drifting snow in the afternoon. Highs zero to 5 above. Windy. Northwest winds around 25 mph with gusts to around 45 mph. Wind chill readings 20 below to 30 below zero.

Saturday Night
Mostly cloudy in the evening then partly cloudy. Windy. Lows 20 to 25 below.

Sunday
