Between October 1986 and March 1989 I was involved with a Rotary International volunteer project to build a school in a pueblo joven outside Mala, an hour south of Lima, Peru on the Panamerican Highway. I have visited Peru twelve times since 1986 and visit School 20927 whenever I can. Today I received an email from Luis Málaga, a new Rotarian from the San Borja Rotary Club in Lima. He had visited the school for the first time yesterday and was impressed by what he saw. Fifteen years after the school opened he is interested in once again getting Rotary involved in helping the locals with their school. For one of the school's founders and for his friends in Dignidad Nacional this is most encouraging. Gracias Luis!
