Due to the nature of my business I received from my government this morning an email with an attachment entitled:
Information Bulletin Title: Potential Threat to Homeland Using Heavy Transport Vehicles Date: July 30, 2004.
What worries me more than the actual threat is my government's choice of words. Country is replaced by Homeland, which to my ears rhymes with "Heimat." Homeland does not make my heart grow fonder, country sufficed. What's next Dubya, Motherland?
