I sent two 56572 gumshoes out on the story of the fish that ate the kid that you read here last week???? This is what they came back with! Goes to show to what lengths 'Wegian gumshoes will go. (Norge is not a refrigerator, it's a country) Anyvay, in Norsk this fisk is apparently called a Steinbit literally translated to Stone Bite. Ya suppose dey make lutefisk from diz guy? Should you catch one here is a recipe on how to cook it. No Norsk yet on Babelfish, better let me know if you need the recipe translated.
Anarhichas lupus (Linnaeus, 1758)
"This fish is technically not a catfish even although it does goes under the common name, with two other species, of Sea Catfishes. It is in fact related to the blennies and not to the true catfishes (no barbels and has scales) The name Sea Catfish gave me a good excuse to include this "only its mother would love it" character and its other more popular name of the Wolf Fish gives its true character away as a bit of an "ugly duckling" but we catfish folk can put up with our charges not being too facially challenged."
