I'm listening to Dutch radio this morning. There is a lot of talk about the Olympics and the Dutch chances. The Dutch are joking about how in the entire Olympic Village the national flags of each Olympian hang from their bedroom windows. You know where the Americans are sleeping because they are told not to hang out the Stars and Stripes. I have also read that Olympians are forbidden from blogging. It is in violation of Olympic media rules.
I cannot stand to watch the coverage here on NBC, sorry. Don't talk down to me Katie Couric. I wish C-Span would cover the Olympics, without commentators or commercials. I tried to watch online via the BBC. American IP addresses are filtered out. NBC has bought the exclusive rights and has everybody else blocked. NBC is holding me hostage. As soon as somebody figures out how to allow Americans to watch the Olympics online illegally, I'll let you know. If you figure it out first, let me know please.
Looks like the International Olympic Committee has its own ideas about online Olympic coverage.
