A Fargo, North Dakota television station led off their 6:00 p.m. news tonight with news that a man wanted for first degree murder in Texas has been tracked down by our PRPD right here under our noses. The man was stopped for a DUI, resisted arrest and fled the scene. This was two weeks ago. Monday he was apprehended. Minnesota has no qualms about extradition to a state with capital punishment?
It would appear that the Pelican Press had their scanner turned off on Monday? Why did Chief Fox give the story to that particular television station which loves to show us at our worst?
When police apprehended the suspect in Trejo's basement, they gave him a choice: come upstairs voluntarily or they would send Sarge down to fetch him. He came up voluntarily. Do you suppose the fellow had been reading the Star Tribune last week?
