My wife and the grieving widow next door delivered dinner to a neighbor last night. The neighbor is in a lot of pain from breaking bones when she slipped and fell on the ice in her driveway last week. Very early this morning I drove by the home of a man who is dying of cancer. Many lights were on, many more than normal. My thoughts are with them this foggy winter morning. (Cancer took him during the night, leaving another widow. By noon there are six cars in her driveway. Neighborhood has arrived.)
