I have friends touring China this week. Over the next six days I will post six photographs, sent to me by an American friend in China, which capture the essence of Zhongguoren. I have been in China six times, although not since 2000. Those who know me know that I love China, the Chinese, the Common Tongue, Chinese food and Chinese music, especially the erhu. I guess I am a bit homesick.
If you feel like you would like to meet the Chinese someday, why not this summer? Global Volunteers still have openings. Their CEO Bud Philbrook has his ideas of the Middle Kingdom.
