Thank you for your email! We have our government relations staff working on getting tax deductions for the buses. We didn't want to promise anything in the message to members and then disappoint them. I'm still hopeful that they will work something out. I will let you know as soon as I find out anything. We appreciate your willingness to still donate your bus. --
We have a 20 buses offered so far. In Southern Mississippi there are 40-50 school districts affected by the Hurricane and several school districts in Louisiana have been flooded out. The more buses we have to offer, the better!

56572 readers:
It seems increasingly likely that this will happen. 56572 community members, churches and civic groups willing to donate cash for fuel or airfare/airmiles for the bus driver's return should be thinking of such a donation. When word comes, I doubt we will have a lot of time. We can also transport good household goods in the bus free of charge. We will not accept anything until word comes. Please indicate your interest by using the comments link below so all can see who is willing to give what. Don't call me please. If we are crazy enough to do this, you might be too. If you are looking for a tax deduction you might want to look elsewhere. What we do for one is good for us all - what goes around comes around. Stay tuned to 56572.

Lori and Brad Erickson for $50. I also would like to help fill the bus. Please let me know how I can do this and when. I've been looking for a way to get friends and neighbors involved.
