I wrote a while back that I had succumbed to a letter from Minnesota Public Radio to help them out with a "Capital Campaign" and sent in a $50 impulsive online donation.
Today I got a letter from Jon, who is a CFRE?, and a Senior VP of MPR. Jon writes:
"Thank you so much for your commitment of $50....I appreciate your thoughtful deliberation regarding your philanthropic priorities. Per your request, we will charge your credit card according to your instructions to fulfill your campaign commitment."
I think I quit giving to MPR sometime back on the "80's when their Minnesota Monthly magazine went totally glossy. Seems to me like little has changed. Did I miss checking the box "Please no thank you letter from a CFRE, Senior VP?" Don't even think of calling me to ask for more.
Should We Look on New Technologies with Awe and Dread?

The technological sublime helps us grasp the power of what we’re
