Tools for today

I have become a fan of MnLINK. I use this service to locate and procure books, CDs and DVDs that the local or regional libraries do not have in their collections. I order them online and pick them up at the local library. According to the website it's our tax dollars at work for us. Money well spent if you ask me. Try it.

Another online service I use is Newsstand. I subscribe to the Minneapolis Star Tribune and read it online without ink on my fingers and trips to the recycling center. It's a subscription service, but still is less expensive than hardcopy. There are newspapers and magazines from around the world, just no Pelican Press.
