"There will be a new Library Director on hand at Sparta Free Library starting Monday, August 21, 2006. Ms. Pamela Westby has been chosen to take over this post for longtime Director, Marge Fromm, who retired in June. Pamela, who is currently serving as Director of the Pelican Rapids Library in Pelican Rapids, MN, will bring with her 17 years of experience as a Library Director."

At 56572 we're guessing that PW will become one of our most avid readers. As a farewell gift, she will receive a free one year subscription. We hope PW will make frequent use of the comment button. We'll leave the light on for you. PW2 (AW?) will be named tomorrow night. The next Library Board Meeting is scheduled for Friday August 18, 2006 @ 5:00 p.m. in the Levorsen Community Room at the library.
