There was an angry editorial in this week's Pelican Press. Not renowned for it's investigative journalism, the Press was out and about looking for answers. Few people would talk. Nobody had any facts. No wonder. Privacy is an issue, as it should be. Insinuating that the local School Board is wasting tax dollars in the process sounds like the Watchdog Group. Could just the opposite be true? Where are we if we voters of ISD548 have no more trust in our local elected leaders? Let's be patient and give them the time to work through what they need to. We can draw our conclusions in the polling booth. Should the opposite prove true to what you wrote, dear Editor, can we expect an editorial retraction and another apology? We promise both on these pages.

Some of them felt amazing—but all of them may be too expensive to reach the
people they're meant for.

I miss the press. I moved out of pelican after graduating several years ago. I read the weekly world news now instead of hte press, only because it's easier to find here. The quality is about the same.
The Pelican Press needs to go on line so those of us that do not live in 56572 can keep up with the events in the community.
