What I learned in school this week:
- Tom Haarstick is King, Ashley Guerra is Queen.
- Our PRHS Vikings are undefeated and ranked fifth in State. We rock!
- Our undefeated Soccer Guys beat Crookston big time (12-1) on Tuesday, first game at David Brown Soccer Field (behind Carr Field). Four Norwegians scored, Haavard and Jørgen four times each. Chuy and Hector each got a goal. Our goalie, Albert Chang, stopped nine of their ten shots on goal.
- We get to read The Pelican Press in class now. Cool.
- Last week the Press Guys were mad at our School Board. Something about lawyers and wasting taxpayer dollars. I didn't get it.
- This week we learned that the Press Guys are still mad and that our Superintendent may retire. Will we get a new one?
- This week one of our teachers wrote a letter to the Press asking our School Board to resign.
- What is tenure? It seems that the Guy in Item 6 didn't have it and the Guy in Item 7 does.
- If you ask me, Mr. Moerke is still the boss.
- Our Senator, what's his name, wrote reminding us to eat Honeycrisp apples from Minnesota. If you just made it our State Fruit, why not serve 'em in school?
- Another guy from our school got hurt in Iraq.
- The Twins are tied for first place. It's cool to wear a TC cap again.
- We are gonna beat Frazee bad tonight......then there's the Homecoming Dance.....tomorrow I can sleep 'til noon.

Congrats to Ashley and Tom!
I really appreciate visiting this site and being able to catch up on what's going on in town. Even though I'm in Crookston now, I was still cheering for the Pelican boys soccer team (my student, Mariano made the only Crookston goal).
I miss Pelican but I am glad I can catch up here. Thanks for your updates!

Did a highschool student write this? Just curious.
While I think a HoneyCrisp would be a healthy choice each and every day, might I suggest a Sweet Sixteen and for pies, a RedMax.
