The Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comets took on the East Grand Forks Green Wave today for their homecoming soccer game. HLA plays nine man American football, for soccer they field the standard eleven. Today's HLA Junior Varsity consisted of players from North America, South America, Africa, Asia and Europe. Languages spoken on the team were Spanish, Portuguese, Somali, Korean, Norwegian and English. The game was played in the west central Minnesota city of Fergus Falls. HLA won 5-2. The HLA JV goalie is halfway through Ramadan, yet did not use it as an excuse for the two goals he let through.
