Troy Allan Schultz, 33, Pelican Rapids, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, near Pelican Rapids.
Mr. Schultz was born March 16, 1973, in Detroit Lakes, Minn. He grew up near Pelican Rapids, where he graduated from high school in 1991. He worked at the Rapids Café, Pelican Rapids. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a medical technician. He served in Cuba during the Haitian/Cuban crisis, twice in Iraq and most recently in a second tour in South Korea.
He is survived by his parents, Jim and Pearl Schultz, Pelican Rapids; two brothers: Earl (Shelly), Pelican Rapids, David, Prescott, Wis.; a sister, Keresa Schultz, Fergus Falls, Minn.; and grandparents, Merle and Lillian Grossman, Pelican Rapids, Lester and Ruth Schultz, Ottertail, Minn.
Visitation: Saturday from 2 to 4, with a prayer service at 4, in First Congregational Church, Pelican Rapids, and Sunday from 1 to 2 in Pelican Rapids High School gymnasium.
Funeral: Sunday at 2 in the gymnasium.

It's sad to hear about a friend's death. But even sadder to hear of a fellow NCO's death. My condolences go out to Jim and Pearl. I will remember him in my prayers.
