The Christmas Eve Breakfast with Robert Mondavi group held their annual meeting this morning. This year the organist gave the Mondavi toast to the memory of a good friend killed in a car accident this past year. This year's menu included pizzelles, salsa verde, lingonberries and Wicked Whoopies. Some lingered over the delicacies and good company, planning the holiday ice bowling tournament and how to get the snowmobiles on the trailer with no snow. The groundwork was even laid for future outdoor Christmas Eve breakfasts, hopefully on the ice at the New Maple Beach Skating Rink/Holiday Grill Theme Park. Then somebody remembered that it used to be cold around Christmas. Others got rosy cheeks right away and Christmas Eve being on a Sunday, rushed off to play the organ or sing in the choir. The joy and goodwill of the season and the vineyard were shared with other restaurant patrons and the restaurant owner as is custom every year. Some customers were even asking if the Mondavi Group were back this year. During the business meeting the following business was transacted: Motion made, seconded and passed that the last guests to arrive were to pick up the table tab and leave a holiday tip for the restaurant crew. This was to be effective immediately.

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 17. Northwest wind between 15 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
