The story of The Lake Lida Monster got brought up in the fish house over the holidays. Roger Pinckney wrote about it in the series of articles he wrote for the Pelican Press in 1983 entitled History Happened Here. Many, if not all, of Pastor Pinckney's yarns are preserved online on the 56572 Chamber website now in the capable hands of Deacon Hilber. They can provide interesting late night reading to the many of you new to the community. Anybody who has more documentation about Harold Rice's sturgeon, photos or articles, please share them so all 56572 readers can enjoy. Is the LLM still on the wall out at Perry's? Anybody seen one this big on their Aqua-vu?

Could that be Steve Zimmerman holding the back side of this whopper? Now you have a big fish story to tell Steve!
I hope some one catches a whopper that big durring the jaycee Lake Lida fishing tournament! (Jan 27th) Tha last place I know the mount of that fish was at Perry's. When is some one going to open that back up?
