Joshua Hanson Picnic Shelter

Work on the Joshua Hanson Picnic Shelter in Maplewood State Park continues to progress. We have met with people from the State Park system to come up with a design and a price for the picnic shelter. It will be located in the area of e swimming beach parking lot. Fund raising is coming along. We have received $6241 in memorials. We continue to work at getting donations from individuals and organizations. If you would consider a donation, please send it to Friends at Box 259, Pelican Rapids, Minnesota 56572-0259. Make the check payable to Parks and Trails (put Friends of Maplewood in the memo) so your donation is tax deductible. Expanding our membership is another way we can raise money so please pay your 2007 dues if you haven't already. Maybe you know of some other people who would be willing to join.
