The Fargo Forum may have been surprised this morning when no Sunday Forums were returned from 56572. Church coffee table talk yesterday was all about how 56572's Vikings got absolutely no print media coverage Sunday morning after defeating Channel 6 and Forum darling Hawley - and Breckenridge defeating darling DGF - on Channel 6 the night before. DGF got a paragraph. One might venture to guess that had Hawley or DGF won, there would have been at least a photo in the Sunday paper.
This morning a WDAY-TV ad person is white-knuckling it through the fog down Interstate 94 to Exit 32 while another is doing the same down Highway 75. One wonders if they will hear comments about no Forum coverage. We realize that WDAY and The Forum are under common ownership. Now both are stuck with the fact that the worst case scenario came true, the ad revenue positive teams lost. They are stuck with us, a number 3 and number 5 seed - a couple of hard to hype teams, yet another team with a persona non grata logo - this time a cowboy, not an Indian - and a bunch of sophomores who've been to State already. Interview Brad Strand's barber, for goodness sake.If WDAY can show Rex Haugen in the promos, why not get him between the headphones and on the microphone? Throw reason completely to the wind and ask Big Eddie too. Now you're talkin' turkey.

It was also painfully obvious about WDAY's predictions at the wrap up of the last game-DGF vs Breckenridge. DGF and Hawley were the predicted winners.
May the better communities prevail....
Makes me wonder why I subscribe to the Forum ~ however, the only alternative for local news is the Daily Journal and that is worse than nothing.
I would write a letter to the editor but they have all been ignored in the past so other than giving me a way to "vent" it doesn't really do anything.
GO VIKINGS!!!
Unfortunately, I believe money guides WDAY/In-Forum. I doubt Pelican Rapids is spending any money advertising this community. Seeing the stories that WDAY has done recently on Hawley - it is evident that they have a financial agreement. Since when is a newspaper unbaised? Money still guides the ship.
