The 15-12 Pelican Rapids Vikings defeated the 22-2 Hawley Nuggets 70-60 Saturday night in the South Section 8AA Semifinal. Sophomore Tydan Storrusten scored 30 points. The last time the teams played the Nuggets won by twenty-six. The Nugget season came to a screeching halt. The Vikings have one senior on their team. Congratulations Coach Strand, coaching staff, players and parents.
The snowpack started melting into mud.

I remember the days when the High School Band would play at every tournament game. I understand that they do not play on Saturday. What is up with that? The team played on Saturday.
