Josh Hanson Memorial Golf tournament

Note from classmates of Josh Hanson's PRHS Class of '98 buddies:

"We are expecting thirty-six 4-person teams to participate in a scramble type format at 11am and 3pm, Saturday, June 16th at Birchwood Golf Course. Following the tournament, the golfers are invited out for a social hour at The Club from 6pm to 7pm with an awards ceremony to follow. Following the awards ceremony, Kale Stromberg has booked a band for entertainment. It is our hope that not only the golfers stick around for this event, but their significant others, friends, and family of 56572 come out and support a worthy cause to not only remember one great soldier, but to pay tribute to all our troops near and far. (With the Shada tournament and the golf tournament, this should be a great economical lift for the city and business' of Pelican Rapids). We are excited for the tournament. This tournament is providing the financial funding for the Josh Hanson Memorial Scholarship that we awarded this past May to Molly Davis. It is our goal and hope that as a committee, we can award two such awards of $2000.00 each on an annual basis in Josh's name. Eight of Josh's closer friends have joined with Bob, Kathy and Jake to formulate a trust fund in Josh's name. Committee members include Matt Soberg, Justin Perrin, Matt Feir, Andy Boen, Tyler Mayfield, Nick Berg, Chad Morrison, and Justin Axness."
