It's the Thursday afternoon after the Thursday afternoon of the Lida Tornado of 2007. It's a muggy, sticky, cut-it-with-a knife afternoon, just like a week ago.
Although the media is done talking about it, locals are not. We have heard about three people who think they saw what must have been this (or a second) tornado dancing up and down South Lida in front of Hallaway Hill. A tree was blown over next to the boat tunnel on Stony Bar. The house next to Ohman's Landing had a metal storage shed blown apart. Now we hear there was tree damage on Matson Point. The NWS drawing of the tornado path puts it in front of Maple Beach and Oak Lodge. Did anybody on the Southwest shore of North Lida see anything out in the lake? Anybody else see the water being sucked up from South Lida?
People are still talking about where they were last Thursday afternoon, what they were doing, what they did. Can you blame us?

This is the first time I've seen that the Tornado initially touched down in front of Oak Lodge on teh Southwest portion of the lake.
Can anyone tell me if Solinger's Resort suffered any damage?
