Isn't this a great postcard?The Park Ice Cream Store next to the Park Theater showing A Man About Town from 1939 with the names Benny (Jack) and Rochester (Eddie Anderson) headlining the marquee across from the "soon to be built" McDonald's. It's for sale on eBay. Have at one another.

I was taking a closer look at the old photo postcard of Pelican Rapids Main Street and got to wondering...when did we switch from "angle parking" to "parallel parking?"
And, what was the rationale for either method?
