There are some big snowdrifts out here.


There was an ice storm during the night and early this morning followed by several inches of snow. We couldn't see out the south windows all day. Luckily this was a scheduled day off from school.



Since I've been thinking about a savory Jimmy's pizza as the afternoon wares on, I thought this cartoon might be apropos. Today my son completed a four week, four hour a day college course entitled Fast Food Nation. He used to be a McDonald's regular. Now he's on his way home for a week of R&R before spring term. We are battening down the hatches prior to his arrival. Hey there goes the Schwan's Truck! Be right back............

VP Dick Cheney is taking flak for wearing snow blower clothes at Auschwitz Thursday. I watched the ceremony Dick, waiting to see you represent our boss who didn't dare go himself. Although I too was surprised to see what you chose to wear, I'm going to side with you on this one. You showed a lot of guts to stand out in a crowd like that when we are still Code Orange. You probably froze your buns off at the Inauguration, huh? We Americans can wear what we want to, when we want to. There is nothing wrong with snowblower clothes. Hey, you're just a regular guy from Wyoming. You're no blueblood. You were just there, covering for Dubya like a trooper. You did good Dick, way to go guy. Lynne looked great too.
