Bud who?

Dear 56572,

I intend to formally announce my candidacy for governor of Minnesota during the week of October 2, 2005. I'd like you to join us.

We are planning a family picnic on Sunday, the 2nd of October, at Battle Creek State Park in Maplewood from 12 noon to 2:30. This will be a lot of fun and a memorable political event for you and your friends and family.

On Monday October 3 through Friday October 7, I will be visiting several Minnesota cities including Duluth, Ely, Virginia, Bemidji, Park Rapids, Staples, Moorhead, Morris, St. Cloud, Worthington, Austin, Rochester, Mankato, and Northfield. (A day-by-day schedule will follow.)

The announcement will reflect what this grassroots campaign is all about – families, kids, and the common good, with a focus on wisely investing in Minnesota's core values: fully-funded quality EDUCATION for every student -- pre-k, k-12, higher ed, and life-long learning; a strong ECONOMY with good jobs in every region of the state; and a clean ENVIRONMENT – clean air, clean water, protected wet lands, and parks and recreational opportunities throughout Minnesota.

Please put October 2 on your calendar. If you cannot join us on Sunday, perhaps you can attend an event in one of the other communities.

Thanks,

Prepared and paid for by the Bud Philbrook for Governor Committee
