Welcome Tom, MPR, World

MPR sound technicians have finished setting up the satellite feed for this afternoon's live broadcast of All Things Considered from the PRPLMLC. ATC Anchor Tom Crann will be going tete-a-tete with four of 56572's Meister Spinmeisterinnen (paß auf, Tom spricht Deutsch): Librarian-Lobbyist Pam, Author-Rotarian Joanie, Hauptspinmeisterin Dianne and Festival Lady-US citizen wannabe Johanna. Culture Maven Nadine Wagner Brown will explain her latest job. Shepherd Glen Larson will represent the men. Jordi takes the guys birding. Nita sings. MPR Regional Stories will be broadcast at different intervals between 3:00-6:30 p.m. (2100-0030 GMT) Listeners worldwide should be able to tune in online via the MPR website.

As the true Global Village, 56572 does have a story to tell the world. We hope the world will be listening to the voices that make 56572 what it is. We hope that GK will be listening so he will know where to film APHC2. It's about time he came out on the prairie to mingle with the hijabs now that he is back from Iceland. He could at least do a radio show from 56572, if not a movie.

Thanks to Jayne Solinger, the ATC producer for choosing 56572, to Tom Crann, Jeff Jones, Mark Zdechlik and Dan Gunderson for reporting and to the sound engineers for working on Memorial Day. Stay tuned.
