Anna, Laura and Lottie Blyberg, Pelican Rapids 1882

One item that caught my eye on the Blyberg House auction bill was a print by a Dutch artist named Bernard Pothast. On the bill it says 1882. That is the year Pothast was born in Belgium. He studied in Amsterdam and some people think he was Dutch. One can certainly see that he studied painitng in Amsterdam. The bill says the name of the print/painting for sale is "The First Setting." I could only find one called "The First Fitting." Looks like the same one to me. There is one available on eBay Australia which did not sell last week for AUS$50. There is also one for sale in Holland for about US$30.

Pretend this is Anna Blyberg dressing her daughters Laura and Lottie for church. The year could easily be 1882 as Otto A.E.Blyberg and Anna G. Olson were married in 56572 in 1873.
