Muriel commented on the abundance of acorns at this early date. Last year there were virtually no acorns. Muriel said her bones have been telling her all summer we were going to have an early winter. The acorns confirm it. I like to wait to measure the muskrat houses. What do your bones tell you? Call Dr. Dave DC? We'll see if Muriel is right. Many locals follow her recipes. Let's hope the snow waits until I get there. I missed the snow, the blistering cold, and the howling winds. *sigh* At least that is what I say today, one of Columbia's "chilly" days this summer. Our high will be about 75, the weatherman told me to grab a jacket.
Good thing this comment will be time stamped, because we all know that in January I will be cursing the cold, snowy weather like everyone else.
