PRPL's next Librarian, Miss Wrigg, who must have been a Centerville Tornado (purple and white) cheerleader in a former life, is also a blogger. This could take some of the heat off this pressure cooker. This Centerville Library you write about, didn't they tear down a popular dance hall to build a library? What was the name of it again?
In The Purple Cat she writes about being a librarian trying to figure out where she belongs. We hope she now has that figured out. How about Butcher Starman's Stone House on the Corner? Marlys moved back closer to her roots.
In Annie's Books she recommends books to her customers.
Our bet is that somewhere she has a private blog tucked away. One with postings about what it was like to be interviewed by the likes of Mayor Wayne and 56572's guitar strumming Uncle Al S. That's my idea of stress.
56572 yearns for a blog from PW about "Life in 'Sconsin." Could be a best seller. We hope she's figured out where she belongs too.
Today's 56572 trivia question: What very prominent person in the history of 56572 came from Centerville SD? Clue: he's still alive. How little we know about one another around here. Natives know natives. Transplants know squat. My wife is not a Scandinavian.

Feel free to call me Annie.
Yes I was a Centerville Tornado, but after eight years in Brookings, I also consider myself a Brookings Bobcat. I wasn't a cheerleader, sorry about that let down.
I can't remember the name of the dance hall, but I know where it was. It burned down, if I remember the story correctly, but I know it was still standing and rocking in the late 60s because my uncle was one of the bouncers.
Thanks for pointing out my blogs. They aren't as active I would like, but the packing is taking most of my freetime. And yes, I think I have found the place I belong. Thanks.
As for the private blog, it maybe like finding out how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop... the world may never know.
See ya'll in a few weeks.
Annie
