While I'm up on my soapbox talking about last week, I have a public apology to make. There are several parents in 56572 with children in Iraq and Afghanistan. I know who some of you are. Although I see some of you on a regular basis, I cannot remember the last time I asked one of you about your son or daughter's well-being. I can imagine your fear factor number is off the chart after last week. I can imagine some of you would wish that 56572 would show it's support to your child as it did to Josh. As parents, all of you deserve the same 56572 TLC Bob and Kathy received last week.
What 56572 will offer you immediately. If you send me the email address of your son or daughter and with your permission only, I will start a directory of soldier names in the right hand column. Click on the name to send an email of support or thanks to the 56572 soldier. If you have email from your loved ones you think the 56572 readership should see, submit it to me. When we all know which 56572 families have loved ones overseas, we promise to support you. If I have passed you by without asking, forgive me. It's not always that I know who you are.

Thnk you editor for doing a fine job on keeping "56572" informed on everything in town, but especially for the way you kept us informed on last weeks events! I can say I feel the same way, on Friday afternoon I met a father who has a son in Iraq...I also neglected to ask how he and his family are holding up, somehow we seem to take these things for granted.
JIm, I think this is a great idea. You are so right, we need to remember to ask these families how their children are. We need to show them respect every minute of every day! A link to these soldiers would be awesome!
Thanks for all of your updates during the last week.
I am so proud to be a member of the Pelican Rapids community!
God Bless! Nanette
