The growing collection of MNDOT heavy equipment around the Bengtson Curve last week looked ominous.
This morning MN DOT is telling local traffic that State Highway 108 across Stony Bar West will be closed as of 0900 this morning for the next 15-21 days. For those headed west State Hwy 34 is the option until later in the week (Wednesday at the earliest) when it closes. Then MN108-OTC30-OTC21-MN34 (The Scenic Route) looks like the only alternative, until it rains and the Olaf Lake Ferry goes back into operation until freezeup.
Updates here on 56572 and the MNDOT District 4 website.
Both 108 and 34 will be tarred with guard rails.
