Otter Tail Review Volume Two hit the tables of 56572 literary coffee houses today. Several 56572 writers are included in this anthology which the Seattle University Magazine (we searched their website for Otter Tail County & Rundquist without success) says "offers readers a one-way ticket to the nostalgia and simplicity that defines rural Minnesota." OTC2's Amazon page describes the book as: Otter Tail Review, Volume Two continues in the same vein as the first edition: featuring fiction, poetry, and essays from local Minnesota authors. The anthology features the works of such well-known writers as Robert Bly, Eugene McCarthy, Will Weaver, Jessica Lourey, and Lin Enger, as well as a wide and talented array of previously unpublished authors. Focusing on indigenous and immigrant story-telling, the Otter Tail Review, Volume Two is poignant, humorous, thought-provoking, and a genuine Minnesota treasure. Profits from both volumes of the Otter Tail Review are dedicated to library and literacy programs in the Upper Midwest.
About the Author
Tim Rundquist (Editor) lives and works, swims and fishes, cross-country skis and tips sailboats in Otter Tail County, Minnesota, with his wife, Heather, four children, and innumerable shirttail relatives. He has authored two published novels and two literary anthologies.
Word on the street is that they have lifted a few paragraphs from these pages. We are waiting eagerly for our advance so we can give it to the Library of our choice. If there is an OTR3, 56572 feels Paul Johnson should illustrate it. Nice of Tim to put Minnesota Woman on the cover. Word on the street is also that there will be readings from the book on November 4th at 1030 am in the PRPLMCLC. Do you suppose Channel 6 will come? In the meantime, if you would care to review your favorite pieces of OTR2 on 56572, send them to us. Those elsewhere can also buy OTR2 from the publisher as an Adobe ebook for $6.
