The Giving + Learning Program in Pelican Rapids has received a $35,000 grant from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Foundation under the Healthy Together: Creating Community with New Americans initiative.

Giving + Learning will use the grant to support and extend its program building on work done through an earlier grant from the Blue Cross Foundation. Volunteer mentors will tutor one-on-one with new Americans and provide support as new Americans work toward meeting educational, workplace and personal goals.
