Why windmills around 56572?

The 2006 wind maps have been developed for the Minnesota Department of Commerce by WindLogics, a Minnesota company that is at the leading edge of wind resource assessment using atmospheric modeling. The top maps are windspeeds at 30 meters (97 feet), the bottom maps at 80 meters (260 feet).

Pelican Township Notice

A special meeting will be held on Monday, February 26, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the Pelican Rapids Public Library to discuss proposed construction of a 2.5 megawatt wind turbine project in Section 20 of Pelican Township, Interested parties are welcome to attend and discuss the project of Plain State Energy and John Ihle, which includes a 260' tower a rotor span of 300' and a peak height of 410'. A decision on this proposed construction will be made at the February 26th meeting.
