I remember going to Carr's every day after school and putting my feet in the "machine" that x-rayed my feet to see if my shoes fit properly. I also remember the rack of clothes that were behind the counter for "lay-away" and could be picked up when the purchaser had paid for them in full. Mr. Hanson was always dressed beautifully and looked very dapper.
I remember Carr & Hansons. Went there after school, too, to buy shoes from Mr. Sherbrooke.
