Does anybody remember this advertising for Carr & Hanson Department Store? It had a thermometer off to the left? Does anybody remember Carr & Hanson Department Store? What memories do you have of going in there to shop?

I remember going to Carr's every day after school and putting my feet in the "machine" that x-rayed my feet to see if my shoes fit properly. I also remember the rack of clothes that were behind the counter for "lay-away" and could be picked up when the purchaser had paid for them in full. Mr. Hanson was always dressed beautifully and looked very dapper.
I remember Carr & Hansons. Went there after school, too, to buy shoes from Mr. Sherbrooke.
