These Tigers have sharp claws

56572's U19 Tigers advanced to 2-0 on the season after soundly defeating the Bemidji Lumberjacks 3-1 at David Brown Field last night matching their 3-1 victory over Fergus Falls Monday night. The Tigers led 1-0 at halftime and added two beautiful goals in the second half. Bemidji scored on a penalty kick.

Prior to the U19 game, the U14 team played to a 2-2 draw versus Fergus Falls. Coach Renato Molina was pleased with his team's efforts.

Next week's home games at David Brown Field are Monday, June 11, U19 vs. Heartland at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, June 13th, another doubleheader, U14 vs Little Falls at 5:00 pm followed by U19 vs. Detroit Lakes at 7:00 p.m. U12 will take on Minnewaska on Saturday, June 16th at 10:00 a.m. at Thompson Field (3rd Ave NE).

The Tigers gave it "their all" last night, as they always do. Sadly enough, our players had to endure significant amounts of racial slurs and put-downs from the Bemidji players carefully directed out of earshot of the referee. When we have played at Bemidji in past years, it's even worse as their fans find it acceptable to do the same towards our players.
